Summer veg growers expecting a bumper production in Tangail

TANGAIL Mar 21: Summer vegetable growers are expecting a bumper production of their crop during the current season in 12 upazilas of the district.
According to the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Tangail, the farmers of the district brought 10137 hectares of land under summer vegetables cultivation in the district.
A vegetable grower Arif Miah of village Maythan under Tangail sadar told to The Financial Express that he has been cultivating vegetables from last three years and earning a handsome profit. He has cultivated ladies finger, carrot, pumpkin, sweet pumpkin on his 45 decimals of land and is expecting a bumper of production it if there is no climatic disaster.
Due to favourable weather condition and availability of agri-inputs farmers of the district are expecting a bumper production of vegetables in the current season.
