The lottery of Summit Alliance Port Limited (SAPL), country's first off-dock container terminal company to determine the successful applicants will be held during the 3rd week of this month.
The company's subscription against shares worth Tk 100 million (face value Tk 100) closed August 23 last. The IPO offer attracted overwhelming support from investors within Bangladesh and abroad.
Meanwhile, SAPL recently signed an agreement with Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL).
Nasser Rizvi, Deputy Managing Director of SAPL and directors of the company Syed FazIul Haque, Latif Khan, Yasser Rizvi, Faisal Khan and Jafer Khan were present along with CDBL Managing Director M. H. Samad and Executive Legal Affairs Feroza Ahmed.
SAPL is one of the valuable additions to the ever expanding industry of the off-docks in the country. The company was established by the Summit Group in collaboration with Alliance Group.
SAPL is custom built to provide both ICD (Inland Container Depot) and CFS (Container Freight Station) services, offers a bonded area spread over 14.5269
acres of land, 6.5 kms away from the multi-purpose berths of the Chittagong Port.
After establishing the first company Ocean Containers Limited (OCL) in a leading position and gaining reasonable management expertise, SAPL began its journey in 2003 as a private limited company which was subsequently converted as public limited company on March 6, 2008.
