Summit Power wins ICAB award

FE Report Summit Power Limited has won the ICAB (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh) National Award for 'Best Published Accounts and Reports 2010' under Non Financial Sector Category - IV: Manufacturing for its excellence in producing quality Annual Report for year 2010. Summit is the first power development company to win this prestigious award, said a press release. After thorough evaluation and scrutinizing by the Review Committee for Published Accounts and Reports (RCPAR) of the council of ICAB has adjudicated Summit Power Limited to be the second best award under Manufacturing Category. The award winners were selected following the strict evaluation criteria set by SAFA's (South Asian Federation of Accountants) Committee for Improvement in Transparency, Accountability & Governance (CITAG) for the Best Published Accounts and Reports (BPA). The award ceremony took place recently in a city hotel. Minister for Commerce Mohammad Faruk Khan was present at the ceremony as the chief guest, while Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman M Khairul Hossain attended as the special guest.
