Sunnydale School in finals of boys, girls' contests

The Sunnydale School reached the finals of both the boys and girls competitions of the Polar Ice Cream 26th School Handball Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Sunnydale School will play Residential Model School & College in the boys' final at 1 pm while they will face Viqarunnisa Noon School & College in the girls' final at 3:15 pm today (Wednesday) at the same venue.
Chairman of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) Dr Sultan Ahmed will be the chief guest in the final and later he will distribute the prizes. CEO of Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Ltd (Polar Ice Cream) Shah Masud Imam will be the special guest on the occasion.
In the girls' semifinals on Tuesday, Sunnydale School outplayed Kadamtola East Bashabo School & College by 13-1 goals after leading the first half 7-0. Viqarunnisa Noon defeated Scholaotica Uttara by 9-4 goals after dominating in the first half 5-1. In the boys' semifinals, Sunnydale School eliminated Saint Gregory's School by 32-15 goals after dominating the first half by 18-8. Residential Model School defeated Shaheed Smriti College by 18-15 goals after leading the first session 9-7 Tuesday afternoon.
