Super League matches begin today

Matches of the six-team super league of the Ispahani Tea Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket begin today (Thursday) at different venues in the city and adjoining areas, reports UNB.
On the opening day (Thursday), league leaders Mohammedan Sporting Club will play sixth ranked Cricket Coaching School (CCS) at the Fatullah Stadium, holders Abahani Limited face Victoria SC at the BKSP in Savar while Kalabagan KC meet Bangladesh Biman at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Earlier, on completion of the first phase matches, Mohammedan SC (20 points), holders Abahani Limited (18), Kalabagan KC (16), Bangladesh Biman (16), Victoria SC (12) and Cricket Coaching School (10) qualified for the super league, the Battle Royal for the league crown.
Both Cricket Coaching School and Old DOHS SC bagged 10 points each after the first phase matches, but CCS qualified for the super league in head-to-head results, as CCS beat OLD DOHS by three wickets in the 10th round match.
