Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2021 announced

Supply chain professionals and business entities will be honoured in 11 categories for their outstanding contributions to the country's supply chain ecosystem through their respective organisations.
Winners of the 'Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Award 2021' will receive a crest and certificate each as recognition.
IPDC Finance Limited, in collaboration with Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society or BSCMS, announced the 4th edition of the award at an inauguration ceremony held at a city hotel on Sunday.
Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the IPDC Finance Mominul Islam, President of the BSCMS Naquib Khan, CEO of ISCEA (Asia) Ejazur Rahman spoke on the occasion, among others.
International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) is the knowledge partner of the event.
Briefing the guests about the award, the IPDC MD Mominul Islam said excellence in the supply chain management was indispensable to make the country's businesses globally competitive.
IPDC strongly believes in the importance of collaboration to influence the capacity and resources of an organisation, he said.
"Considering this, the IPDC collaborated with BSCMS to recognise the best practices in Supply Chain Management through Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Awards," he said.
He also said enhanced supply chains were also essential for safeguarding the interest of every stakeholder including marginal farmers and manufacturers.
Naquib Khan said the importance of supply chain for businesses had become more evident as fierce competitions were taking place.
According to the organisers, willing individuals should apply for nomination between October 24 and November 20 for their exceptional contributions from July 2020 to June this year.
Both organisations and individuals can submit their nominations online using www.bsceabd.com across 11 categories including supply chain collaboration and partnering, supply chain talent development, manufacturing excellence, supply chain finance management, logistics and transportation management, customer service, warehousing and distribution, supply chain planning process, supply chain sustainability, technology as supply chain enabler, young supply chain talent of the year, and supply chain professional of the year.
The award was initiated in 2018 aiming to enhance and promote the supply chain professionals in the country.
