Suranjit for full minister to head Home Ministry

Senior Awami League leader Suranjit Sengupta said Monday there is a need for a full minister to head the Home Ministry with the requisite personality, political experience and having knowledge of law.
Suranjit said this while addressing a discussion organised by Nouka Somorthok Ghosti at the Institution of Diploma Engineers in the city, according to a news agency.
The ruling party leader came down hard on law enforcing agencies for their role in the Narayanganj abduction incident.
“Narayanganj incident proved that it is not possible to conceal offences. It is not abnormal that people in power might have given shelter. You have carried out operation seven days after the incident. Why the operation wasn’t carried out earlier?”
“People are going to the law enforcing agencies with allegations, and they are calculating which allegations to accept and which they wouldn’t accept. Is it the state of lawlessness? It is violation of laws.”
