Suranjit for placing RAB under home ministry

Awami League (AL) advisory council member Suranjit Sengupta said Friday that the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) should be placed under the ministry of home affairs command, reports BSS.
"RAB should be modernised as it has become an elite force and its command to be placed under the ministry of home affairs not under the police", the veteran AL leader made the comments while addressing as the chief guest a discussion arranged by the Bangabandhu Academy at Diploma Engineers Institute auditorium in the city Friday.
AL sub-committee assistant secretary Asaduzzaman Durjoy, Shymma Badi Party leader Harun Chowdhury and JSD leader Humayun Kabir addressed the function with Bangabandhu Academy president Humayun Kabir Miji in the chair.
