Sushma becomes Indian FM

Narendra Modi has picked Sushma Swaraj to be the first female foreign minister (FM) of India. Swaraj was sworn in on Monday by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the presidential palace in New Delhi, after Modi took oath as India’s 15th prime minister. BJP President Rajnath Singh has taken oath as home minister and Arun Jaitley as finance minister. Ajit Doval, former chief of India's Intelligence Bureau, may take over as National Security Adviser from Shiv Shankar Menon, who was India's former foreign secretary and a career diplomat, according to a news agency.
