Sushma, Mahmood sit for talks

A meeting between visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Bangladesh's Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali began in the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka this (Thursday) morning. Mahmood Ali and Swaraj are leading the Bangladesh and the Indian sides respectively in the bilateral talks. Swaraj will meet President Abdul Hamid at Bangabahban around 6:00pm today and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office at 11.30am after the talks with her Bangladesh counterpart. Indian External Affairs Minister arrived in Dhaka on a three-day tour on Wednesday night, her first bilateral visit, to demonstrate the importance her government gives to Bangladesh, according to a news agency.
