Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj invited Bangladesh Opposition Leader Raushan Ershad to visit India. Sushma extended the invitation during her meeting with Raushan at the Opposition Leader’s parliament office Friday, according to a news agency.
Issues relating to power and energy cooperation, Teesta water sharing deal and Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) came up for discussions at the meeting, Raushan told reporters after the meeting.
She said the Indian External Affairs Minister assured Raushan of continuing cooperation with Bangladesh in the coming days and resolving pending issues ‘gradually’ through discussions.
Earlier, the Opposition Leader received the Indian minister at the Sangsad Bhaban gate with flowers.
