Suspected robber lynched in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, Mar 9 (UNB): A suspected robber was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Noapara in Subaranachar upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Zahid Hossain, 29, son of late Khokon Mia of Char Majid village of the upazila.
Police said a gang of robbers entered the area to commit a robbery at a shop after Saturday midnight.
Sensing presence of the gangsters, locals came in, encircled them and caught Zahid.
Later, the mob gave Zahid a tremendous thrashing, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent it to Noakhali Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
