The suspended recruitment test for the post of assistant teachers at the preprimary section of government primary schools in 17 districts will be held on March 28, an official said on Monday. The written test was cancelled in 17 districts on December 8 after question paper leakage. The districts are Dhaka, Mymensingh, Netrakona, Sherpur, Rajshahi, Cox’s Bazar, Lalmonirhat, Narayanganj, Pabna, Satkhira, Jhenidah, Rajbari, Meherpur, Khulna, Sunamganj, Habiganj and Moulvibazar. Old admit cards will be applicable for the rescheduled test, said the official. The ministry sources said the written test for recruiting assistant teachers was held on November 8 last year with 9,68,127 candidates taking part in it. Later, on December 8, authorities cancelled the recruitment test in the 17 districts following a report submitted by the inquiry committee formed to investigate the alleged question papers leakage, according to a news agency.
