Sweater factory vandalised at Joydevpur

Authorities of Naz Sweater Factory, an enterprise of Azad group, Tuesday filed a case against unknown persons for vandalising their apparel plant at Joydevpur, police said.
Officer-in-Charge of Joydevpur police station Abdur Rashid told the FE that the factory authorities lodged the FIR (first information report) with the police station as a vested quarter in connivance with others attacked the factory on the pretext of claiming wages and Eid bonuses.
The factory authorities alleged that the attackers damaged the factory and looted readymade items worth Tk 310 million.
Production of the factory has been suspended since Saturday, the day of incident.
