Swechchhasebak Dal demands justice for slain leader in city

Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal on Friday demanded justice for the murder of Billal Hossain Talukdar, former convener of the organisation's Ramna Thana unit, reports BSS.
As part of the protest, the organisation brought out a procession in the capital. The march began at 4:30 pm in front of the BNP's Nayapaltan central office and proceeded through the Kakrail and Paltan intersections before concluding at the Jatiya Press Club.
The procession was led by Dhaka Metropolitan Swechhasebak Dal General Secretary Sad Morshed Pappa Shikder. Leaders and activists from different metropolitan units joined the programme, calling for the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those responsible for the killing.
Billal Talukdar was fatally stabbed by unidentified assailants in front of Anarkali Market in the Mouchak area around 8:00 pm on June 8.
