Swechchhasebak Dal leader Yeasin held at Pallabi

Police have arrested a top leader of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal in Dhaka on Tuesday night. The arrestee was identified as Yeasin Ali, convener of Dhaka city (North) unit of Swechchhasebak Dal, the voluntary wing of the the BNP. When contacted, officer-in-charge (OC) of Pallabi Police Station Dadon Fakir said police team conducted a drive around 11:15pm and arrested Yeasin from Pallabi. The Swechchhasebak Dal leader is accused in 22 cases filed with Mirpur, Pallabi and Kafrul police stations, the OC said, adding that arrest warrants were pending for him in four cases, according to a news agency.
