Sweden to give 2.5m SEK to Bangladesh

The government of Sweden will provide 2.5 million Swedish Krona (SEK) to Bangladesh for the ‘Personnel and Consultancy Fund’. The fund will be used for travel related costs for Bangladeshi candidates who have been approved to take part in international training programmes/courses arranged by the Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency, Sida. An agreement to this effect was signed between the governments of Bangladesh and Sweden at the Economic Relations Division (ERD) in the city. ERD joint secretary Nurjahan Begum and Swedish Charge d’ Affaires Karin Rohlin signed the agreement on behalf of their respective government. Officials from both sides were present on the occasion. The duration of the agreement is from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2017, according to a news agency.
