Swept away by waves, tourist dies in Cox's Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Apr 25 (UNB): A tourist was swept away by strong waves while taking a bath at Labobi point on Cox's Bazar sea beach on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Shahjahan, 40, a resident of Chattogram.
Tourist Police Cox's Bazar region's ASP Molla Mohammad Shahin said that Shahjahan and his family members were taking a morning bath at Labani Point on the beach.
Police said that he went to the beach with his family. While bathing in the knee-deep water, he was washed away by a powerful wave.
After a search operation by his relatives and local lifeguards, Shahjahan's body was found floating in the water.
