Swimmer Arun Nandi's body arrives

CHANDPUR, Nov 17 (UNB): The body of renowned swimmer and freedom fighter Arun Kumar Nandi, who died of cardiac arrest in Kolkata Sunday at the age of 65, arrived in Bangladesh through Benapole border Monday.
Sources said a 12-member delegation from the capital received the body in the morning. Mahbubur Rahman Shaheen, secretary general of Bangladesh Swimming Federation was, among others, in the delegation.
Officials, swimmers and well-wishers assembled in Benapole and paid homage to the late swimmer. The coffin was wrapped with national flag after its arrival in Bangladesh land.
