Sylhet expat\\\'s house robbed of

Robbers looted valuables worth Tk 1 million from an expatriate’s house at Rautkhai village under Osmaninagar thana in Sylhet city on Thursday. Witnesses said a gang of robbers, numbering 7/8, stormed the house of Dubai expatriate Salam Mia and kept the house inmates hostage at gunpoint. Later the robbers looted valuables, including 18 tolas of gold ornaments, cash Tk 20,000 and four mobile phone sets, and decamped with the booty. Being informed, police visited the spot and picked up Akhaddus Mia and Kuddus Mia suspecting their involvement in the incident, according to UNB.
