Sylhet road crash kills motorcyclist

SYLHET, Dec 27 (UNB): A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Biswanath- Jagannathpur bypass on Tuesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Shafiq Miah, 55, son of Ashmat Ali from Mollargaon village of the upazila.
Locals said Shafiq Miah and UP member Fazar Ali were on way to home from a marriage ceremony riding on a motorbike. When they crossed Biswanath- Jagannathpur bypass area, a speeding microbus hit their bike from behind at 2.30 pm, leaving the duo critically injured.
Locals rushed them to Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital where Shafiq succumbed to his injuries.
