Syria rout India

Syria notched a 4-0 goals victory over India in their group-E second match of the AFC Under-23 Championship-2016 Qualifiers at the Banga- bandhu National Stadium Sunday, reports UNB.
With the second successive victory, Syria earned six points from two matches while India remained pointless also from two matches.
Syria started their tournament campaign with a facile 4-0 victory over hosts Bangladesh in the first match while India lost to Uzbekistan by 0-2 goals in their first encounter.
Syria took the lead in the 15th minute of the match with a superb one touch show.
Left back Mouilad Al Ajjan initiated the move with the ball at the left flank to winger Amro Jeniat who cut the ball back to midfielder Nassouh Nakhdali at the top of the box; Nakhdali pushed the ball to forward Mahmoud Al Mawas who successfully placed the ball into the far post net.
Midfielder Omar Kharbin doubled the margin in the 45th minute by a header utilising a neat cross off Nassouh Nakhdali.
In the 60th minute, Indian forward Jayesh Dilip Rane saw his 25 yarder touch-passed the Syrian crosspiece. But in the very next counter attack Mahmoud Al Mawas made the way for Omar Kharbin who placed the ball in from the top of the six -yard box. It was his fourth goal in two matches.
Mahmoud Al Mawas scored his second in the 81st minute heading a cross off Omro Al Midani, 4-0.
Earlier, India tried to fight back and in the 39th minute Germanpreet Singh saw his 20 yarder missed the Syrian crosspiece.
India was reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute of the match as their defender Shankar got marching order after receiving a direct red card.
