SZRMC students boycott classes

BOGRA: Students of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZRMC) boycotted classes for the second consecutive day Sunday to press home their seven-point demand, including ensuring their security.
The students went on a movement Saturday in protest against a robbery at a female dormitory early Friday, according to a news agency.
The students refrained from attending classes Sunday morning and took to the street
They formed a human chain and blocked Bogra-Rangpur highway.
Intern doctors of the medical college hospital expressed their solidarity with the agitating students and staged a three-hour work abstention.
Earlier, a group of armed miscreants swooped on a room of the female dormitory and looted valuables, including laptop,, gold ornaments, mobile phone sets and cash in the early hours of Friday.
