In a major broadcasting feat, the T Sports-led Sports Consortium has secured the rights for the next two seasons of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), reports UNB.
This move establishes T Sports as a key player in bringing the excitement of the BPL to both traditional TV screens and the T Sports App, providing viewers with more options to enjoy the highly anticipated domestic cricket event in Bangladesh.
The Sports Consortium, under the leadership of T Sports, has also secured the broadcasting rights for all home series of the Bangladesh cricket team until December 2024.
Expressing appreciation for the trust placed in T Sports by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Ishtiaq Sadik, CEO of T Sports, highlighted the consortium's commitment to collaboration with the BCB.
Looking ahead, the tenth season of the BPL is slated to commence in early 2024, promising cricket enthusiasts an exciting spectacle featuring seven competitive teams. T Sports aims to bring the tournament to new heights, enhancing production quality and engaging viewers in an unparalleled cricketing experience.
Beyond BPL and Bangladesh's fixtures, T Sports has made substantial strides by securing the broadcasting rights for all home matches of the Indian cricket team until 2028.
This groundbreaking development means that viewers in Bangladesh can now enjoy the cricketing prowess of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma through T Sports TV and the T Sports App. The acquisition of India's home matches rights solidifies T Sports as a premier sports broadcaster, providing its audience with an extensive array of cricket content.
