T20 Super10 opening: India-Pakistan head to head Friday

Arch rivals India and Pakistan will go head-to-head in a high voltage start to the Super10 round of the ICC T20 World Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Friday. The match will kick off at 7.30pm. Reigning 50-over world champions India clinched the inaugural T20 world title beating Pakistan in 2007. The unpredictable Pakistanis won the 2nd edition beating Sri Lanka in the final in 2009. In their first warm-up games after arriving in Bangladesh for this year’s championship, India lost to Sri Lanka by 5 runs while Pakistan beat New Zealand by 7 wickets at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on March 17. Later, in their 2nd warm-up matches, India beat England by 20 runs at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on March 19 while Pakistan lost to South Africa by 8 wickets at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, according to a news agency
