TAC resumes hearing clemency pleas today

The Truth and Accountability Commission (TAC) will resume hearing clemency pleas of the corrupt individuals today (Monday) after the Eid holidays. Today the three-member Commission, headed by Justice Habibur Rahman Khan, is expected to hear seven individuals for considering clemency in return for their ill-gotten wealth. Those who will be heard are sub-registrars, and employees from Titas Gas and Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA). Since September 1, TAC has heard clemency pleas of 136 persons.
