Tagore\\\'s birth anniv programme concludes in Pabna

PABNA, May 12: Five-day programme marking the 154th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore concluded at Beer Mukhtijuddah Rafiqul Islam Bakul Mukhta Monch premises in Pabna Tuesday.
The five-day celebration featured discussions on the life of the poet, cultural functions on the occasion on the premises of the Monch of the Nobel Laureate here.
'Ekushey Boimela Udzapan Parishad' organised the 5-day programme on the occasion of birth anniversary of Rabindranath. Local MP Khandakar Golam Faruque Prince inaugurated the programme as the chief guest Friday.
Shahnaz Sultana, convener of Rabindra festival sub-committee chaired the concluding discussion while the eminent educationalist Professor Monwar Hossain Zahedi spoke as the chief guest.
Among others president of 'Ekushey Boimela Udzapan Parishad' Jakir Hossain, professor Kamaruzzamn, professor Abul Kalam, professor Rafiqul Islam and Harun-Ur-Rashid spoke on the occasion.
