Taiwan co to expand project in Karnaphuli EPZ

Eusebio Sporting (Bangladesh) Company Limited, a Taiwan company, will expand its project in Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (EPZ).
In this connection, an agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Eusebio Sporting (Bangladesh) Company Limited at the BEPZA Complex in the city recently.
BEPZA Member (Investment Promotion) Prasanta Bhushan Barua and Eusebio Sporting Managing Director Lin Hui signed the lease agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Also present at the signing ceremony were BEPZA Executive Chairman Ashraf Abdullah Yussuf, Member (Engineering) Md Farhad Uddin, Member (Finance) AKM Mahabubur Rahman, General Manager (Investment Promotion) AZM Azizur Rahman, Manager (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain and Assistant Manager (Public Relation) Khadiza Parvin.
The one hundred per cent foreign-owned company will enhance its production capacity with additional investment of US$ 10 million. Including this the total investment will stand at nearly US$ 40 million.
The Taiwan company will also create further job opportunity for 1,955 Bangladesh nationals.
When in full operation it will generate employment for 5,935 worker/employees.
