Taiwan industrial output index rises

TAIPEI, Nov 28 (Xinhua): Taiwan's industrial production index rose 8.25 per cent year-on-year to 116.38 in October, according to the island's economic affairs authority.
The sub-index for the manufacturing sector, which accounted for more than 90 per cent of the industrial production, climbed 9.24 per cent year-on-year to 117.6 in October.
The production index for electronic components, the most heavily weighted within the manufacturing sector, gained 9.22 per cent to 127.06.
