Taiwanese co to invest $25m

Taiwanese company M/S Inesca Outdoor (BD) Ltd will invest $25.073 million to set up an outdoor garments industry in Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ). The company will produce tents, sleeping bags and outdoor garment items with creating employment for 3998 persons including 18 foreign nationals. An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/S Inesca Outdoor (BD) Ltd at BEPZA complex in the city Wednesday. BEPZA member (investment promotion) Md Moyjuddin Ahmed and M/S Inesca Outdoor (BD) Ltd assistant general manager Richard Chen signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
