Tajmeri resigns from inquiry committee

Prof Dr Tajmeri S Islam, the acting president of Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA), Monday resigned from a three-member inquiry committee formed to probe the incident of question paper leakage of a Master's degree examination of the department of Political Science of the university, reports UNB.
The other member of the committee, headed by Acting Dean of the faculty of Social Sciences Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, is DU Registrar Rezaur Rahman.
The question paper of comprehensive test of Master's examination 2005 (held in 2007), scheduled for 9:00 am Saturday, was leaked out Friday.
The examination was postponed as the Controller (Exams) office found similarity between the leaked out question paper and the one distributed in the examination hall Saturday.
The reason behind the resignation of Dr Tajmeri S Islam could not be known.
