Takashi new representative of JETRO

Takashi SUZUKI has been assigned as the new representative of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), the official trade and investment promotion agency of government of Japan in its Dhaka office.
He has replaced Mr Tomohiro KINOMOTO. The change over took place during the third week of December 2009, according to a press release.
Mr Tomohiro KINOMOTO, predecessor of Mr SUZUKI, played an important role in the promotion of bilateral trade between Japan and Bangladesh during his tenure.
Mr SUZUKI is the 13th representative of JETRO Dhaka and has been assigned in Bangladesh for four year effective from December 13, 2009.
Mr SUZUKI started his career in JETRO in the year 1994. Before his new assignment in Bangladesh, Mr SUZUKI served as the Representative in JETRO Lagos during (2000 -2002), JETRO Brussels during (2002-2003) and finally served in the trade and economic cooperation department of JETRO Head Quarter in Tokyo, Japan.
During his assignment in economic cooperation department in JETRO Head Quarter, Mr SUZUKI facilitated economic growth in developing countries through trade promotion and also worked with developing countries to strengthen their export industries with the aim of helping them make inroads into the Japan market.
