Taking pictures of remaining voters starts in city

The Election Commission (EC) Friday started taking pictures of those, who could not be enrolled as voters earlier, in the city's selected centres, reports BSS.
The task of taking pictures will continue from 9,00 am to 6.00 pm everyday until August 24, the EC sources said. Besides, they added, the EC is correcting the already finalised voters' list by excluding the names of fake ones.
"Voters of an electoral area will be able to collect their national identity cards from the concerned centres," said Deputy Election Commissioner of Dhaka city Biswas Lutfur Rahman.
He said the final voters' list of the city would be published by September 4 this year. The work of taking pictures of the Urdu-speaking people in the country would start on August 25.
The pictures of the voters of wards 42, 44 and 45 under Mohammadpur thana are being taken at Mohammadpur Model School and College and for others at wards 46 and 47 at Graphics Arts Institute on Satmasjid Road.
Pictures are being taken at Adabar PC Culture Housing Public School centre for the residents of ward 43 in Adabar thana and ward 41 in Mohammadpur thana of the city.
The voters of wards 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 (partial) in Mirpur, Pallabi and Shah Ali thanas are being photographed at Mirpur 10 Ward Community Centre on Mirpur Majar Road. The pictures of the voters at ward no 68, 69, 70, 71, 72 and 73 under Kotwali thana, and ward no 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81 and 82 under Sutrapur thana are being taken at Sutrapur Wari Abdur Rahim Community Centre.
The photographs of the voters at wards 84, 85 and 86 in Jatrabari thana, and wards 83, 87, 88, 89 and 90 in Shyampur thana are being taken at Jatrabari Panchayet Community Centre.
The voters of wards 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Sabujbagh thana; wards 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35 in Motijheel thana and ward 36 in Paltan thana are being taken at Sabujbagh Basabo Community Centre. Pictures of voters of wards 4, 14, 15 and 16 in Kafrul thana are being taken at Senpara Moden School and wards 18, 19 and 20 in Gulshan thana at Banani Community Centre.
Voters of ward 1 in Airport thana, ward 1 in Uttara thana and wards 17 and 21 in Badda thana are being photographed at the registration centre at Haji Camp at Uttara.
The voters of ward 15 in Dhaka Cantonment thana, ward 17 in Cantonment Board and Khilkhet thanas are being photographed at Banani Army Stadium while those of wards 48, 49, 50, 51 and 52 in Dhanmondi, New Market, Hazaribagh thanas at Dhanmondi Government High Girls' School.
Besides, pictures of the voters of wards 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66 and 67 are being taken at the registration centre at Bangshal Haji Jumman Community Centre, for the voters of wards 56 and 57 in Shahbagh thana at Shahbagh theatre centre; for voters of wards 53, 54 and 55 in Ramna thana at T&T High School at Maghbazar Wireless Colony and for voters of wards 20 and 37 in Tejgaon Industrial Area at Shahid Monu Mia High School centre.
The voters of wards 38, 39 and 40 in Tejgaon thana are being photographed at West Rajabazar Rajdhani High School centre and those of wards 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26 in Khilgaon thana are being photographed at Mohakhali Community Centre registration centre near the BRAC University.
