Taliban kill militia leader in NW Pakistan

KHAR, Pakistan, Jan 27 (AFP): Taliban fighters have killed a pro-government militia leader in northwest Pakistan's Bajaur district, where helicopters have been shelling insurgent hideouts, officials said Wednesday.
The body of Malik Manaris Khan (47) was found riddled with bullets early Wednesday in Salarzai town, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) northeast of Khar, the main city in Bajaur, which is in the tribal belt bordering Afghanistan.
