Tangail arson: 7 more arrested

TANGAIL: Seven more people have been arrested in connection with the arson attack that left a woman and her three daughters dead at Sohagpara village in Mirzapur upazila  Tuesday.
However, police could not arrest the mastermind, Jahangir Hossain, even after three days into the gruesome incident.
The arrestees were identified as Jahangir’s friend Sushanta Kumar Roy, uncle Nannu Miah, cousin Badsha Miah, manager of local Maasranga Filling Station Mir Azadul Islam, its cashier Abul Bashar, supervisor Wasim Miah and lineman Abdul Mannan.
With this, a total of 10 people have so far been arrested in connection with the arson attack.
Hasna Begum, 30, wife of Mujibur Rahman, a Malaysia expatriate, and their daughters - Mariam, 14, Mali, 4, Mim 6, of South Sohagpara village were burned to death early Tuesday as miscreants set fire to their house following previous enmity.
