Tangail bus-truck collision kills 5

TANGAIL, Oct 17:  Five people, including a woman and a child, were killed and nine others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at the Gharinda bypass intersection on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Tangail Sadar upazila early on Friday.Two of the deceased were identified as Nur Hossain Manik(35), superviser of the bus, who hailed from Sadar upazila of Kurigram district, and Mati Mia ( 55) of Anantapur village in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram district. The accident took place around 4 am when the Dhaka-bound bus from Bhurungamari upazila in Rangpur collided head-on with the truck, leaving three people including a woman killed on the spot and 10 others injured.
