Tangail, Narayanganj reach semifinals

Tangail and Narayanganj District teams reached the semifinals of the JFA U-14 National Women's Football Championship eliminating their rivals in Group B matches at the BFF Artificial Turf in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
In the semifinals today (Friday), Group A champions Mymensingh DFA will face Group B runners-up Narayanganj DFA at 2:45 pm while Group B champions Tangail DFA will meet Group A runners-up Dinajpur DFA at 4:30 pm, both at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
In the day's last Group B match, Tangail DFA emerged group champions eliminating all-losers Rajshahi DFA by a solitary goal scored by Monika Chakma in the 11th minute.
In the day's other match, came from behind, Narayanganj DFA played to a 2-2 draw with Rangpur DFA to reach the semifinal as Group B runners-up.
Annai Mugni struck both the goals for Narayanganj DFA in the 41st and 65th minutes while Swapna and Roxana netted one each for Rangpur DFA in the 9th and 18th minutes respectively.
