Tangail road crash death toll rises to 10

The death toll from Tangail road accident has risen to 10. The accident took place at Ashura under Madhupur Police Station on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased were identified as Habibur Rahman, 50, his daughters ‘Hena’, 28, and ‘Ayesha’, 12, Firoza Begum, 50, her grandson 'Sadik', 4, Asr Ali, 40, Majibar Rahman, 55, Abdul Kader, 65, 'Shafi', 7, and 'Esha'. A Madhupur-bound truck collided head on with a tempo (human hauler) around 12:15pm leaving a tempo passenger dead on the spot. Eight other passengers succumbed to their injuries on their way to Madhupur Upazila Health Complex while another died at Tangail Hospital. Twenty-two others were injured in the accident, according to a news agency.
