Tangail vegetable growers happy over production

TANGAIL, Dec 22: Farmers of the 12 upazilas of the district are happy over winter vegetables production as they are getting good price of the crops.
According to Department of Agriculture Extension DAE, Tangail, this year farmers of the district cultivated winter vegetables in 10536 hectares of land with the production target of 205452mt.
A retailer of Six Anna's Bazar of the town Shariful Islam said this season winter vegetables supply in the market is sufficient and prices are also reasonable.
Deputy Director of DAE Tangail said availability of agri-inputs and training on farming vegetables had been ensured at the grassroots level.
