Tarana vows to wipe out corruption

Vowing to eradicate corruption from her ministry, State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim on Thursday said there is no way for her ministry to favour corrupt people.
The junior minister came up with the remark while talking to reporters after joining her office, a news agency report said.
She said she has worked out a 90-day work plan to make the ministry more active.
Tarana Halim, also an MP from reserved seat-16, said the postal department and mobile phone operator Teletalk will be modernised.
She also said she will work for collecting the arrears from the telecom sector.
State Minister for Food Nuruzzaman Ahmed also joined his ministry on Thursday and exchanged views with Minister Qamrul Islam and senior officials.
