Tarik Ahsan made new BD envoy to Sri Lanka

The government on Wednesday appointed Tarik Ahsan, currently serving as Director General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Sri Lanka. In his diplomatic career, Ahsan served in Bangladesh missions in New York, Riyadh, Jakarta and Berlin in various capacities, said a Foreign Ministry media release. He is a Bachelor in Science from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology. He also did postgraduate Diploma in International Relations & Development from International Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, according to a news agency.
