Tarique passport renewal \\\'on orders\\\'

Sunday, 9 August 2015

The High Court has been told that Tarique Rahman’s passport was renewed in London ‘on orders from the top’ in 2008, a good one and a half years before it was to expire.
The foreign ministry revealed it in its report to the court recently.  A police report on his holding four passports said the BNP leader was not in possession of these that ran same terms. He was given a new passport following due procedures each time the pages on the valid passport were exhausted. The state has submitted the reports to the bench of Justice Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman, which on Sunday ordered the relevant wing to prepare the matter for hearing, according to a news agency.---Aminul
