Monday, 7 July 2008

A Dhaka court Sunday exempted BNP leader Tarique Rahman from personal appearance in the court in a bribery case, reports bdnews24.com.

Judge Shahed Nooruddin of Special Judge's Court-3 set up in the Sangsad Bhaban area relieved Tarique of court appearance in the case that charges him with taking bribe for suppressing the murder of Basundhara Group director Humayun Kabir Sabbir.

The court set July 10 for hearing on charge framing in the case.

A sick Tarique was brought to the special court premises from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital prison cell in an ambulance.
