Tarique's bail extended by 3 months

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court Thursday extended its earlier order for further three months granting bail to BNP senior joint secretary general Tarique Rahman. On August 28 last, the court granted eight weeks' ad interim bail on health ground to Tarique Rahman in a bribery case. Tarique was accused along with others including former State Minister for Home Lutfuzzaman Babar in the case for taking bribes from the Basundhara Group. — BSS
