Tarique\\\'s punishment demanded for remarks against Bangabandhu

Speakers at a programme in the city have demanded arrest, trial and punishment of BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman for his remarks against Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. They said that Tarique Rahman violated the Constitution by terming Bangabandhu as ‘Pakbandhu’. ‘Tarique should be brought to justice for violating the Constitution, distorting history and issuing false statement,’ they said. They also deamnded that the government should bring Tarique back home, try him and give him exemplary punishment so that he can never say a word against Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad and Bangabandhu Adarsha Bastabayan Parishad jointly organised the programme, according to a news agency.
