Tariquzzaman new MD of DSE

Dr ATM Tariquzzaman on Sunday joined the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) as the managing director. Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission approved his appointment on August 8 this year, according to a press release.
Dr ATM Tariquzzaman boasts over 25 years of experience in the capital market.
He joined the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) as deputy director in 1997 after completing his M. Com in Accounting from Dhaka University and MBA in Financial Management from South Eastern University (UK Campus).
During his tenure at BSEC, Dr Tariq was awarded an AusAid scholarship to pursue his Masters of Financial Planning (MFP) and Masters of Professional Accounting (MPA) from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, from 2007 to 2009.
Later, he successfully obtained his PhD in Accounting and Finance from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
Dr Tariquzzaman holds extensive teaching experience both domestically and internationally. He served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Southeast University and Asia-Pacific University in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He also worked as a teaching assistant at Monash Business School, Monash University and RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He also served as a lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
