Taskforce suggests revamping of RJSC

The Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) needs new office and efficient manpower to offer best services, said chief executive officer of the Regulatory Reforms Commission Apurba Kumar Biswas.
Speaking at a meeting of the taskforce on RJSC recently, Mr. Biswas said it was possible to create efficient manpower through training and computerisation.
He said the taskforce would recommend measures by January next to suggest ways for making the RJSC an effective entity.
The RJSC that deals with affairs of about 80,000 companies have only 30 officials and employees, an official of the RSJC informed the meeting.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the ministries of commerce and law and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
