Tata Consultancy's vice president meets minister

State Minister for Science and Information and Communication Technology Yeafesh Osman had a meeting with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Vice President SK Bhattacharya in the city Tuesday.
Dohatec Chairman Luna Shamsuddoha was also present on the occasion, says a press release.
They discussed the potentialities of software industry in the country. The minister explained the election agenda of 'Digital Bangladesh' and the government's commitment to materialise it.
Bhattacharya said TCS is keen to invest in Bangladesh and said they would utilise local resources for projects, which would enable the growth of the IT sector.
He also emphasised the need for different skill sets for proper growth and success of IT sector of the country to become a major export earner.
The state minister offered the facilities that are available at IT Park and he wanted expeditious steps for the take off of the industry in Bangladesh.
They also discussed issues of knowledge and resources that are necessary for the industry.
