Tax on private university

The decision of the government to introduce 10.0 per cent VAT on private universities will be an added burden for students. My son studied in a private university and I know how difficult it was for us. I hope the government will reconsider its decision.
Education is not a luxury. It is a birth right. The fees of private universities are already high. The perception that only rich people send their children to private universities is totally wrong. Many students come from middle class background and it will be more difficult for them to pursue higher studies. I sincerely hope that the government will review its decision and withdraw the additional VAT on private universities.
