Taxes Bar Association leaders meet Khaleda

A group of leaders of newly-elected Taxes Bar Association met BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday night. The meeting was held at the BNP chief’s Gulshan political office around 9pm. The lawyers, led by Jatiyatabadi Tax Lawyers’ Forum’s chief adviser Ahmed Azam Khan and Taxes Bar Association’s new president Abbas Uddin, greeted Khaleda presenting her a bouquet. Association’s new vice president AHM Mahbub Salekin, treasurer Dewan Zakir Hossain, assistant general secretary Suriya Begum, social welfare secretary Ziaul Haq were, among others, present. Pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad panel swept the Taxes Bar Association elections held on Feb 24-25 bagging 13 posts out of 21, including those of the president and vice president. BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Nazrul Islam Khan were also present, according to UNB.
